Each student keeps a "Grade Tally Sheet" for recording returned assignments and related grades. These are updated every two weeks. General assignments account for 80% of the grade in English. Reading Counts! Program is 20% of the final grade in English class.
Reading Counts! Each student has a section in their English notebook with specific information regarding Reading Counts! This information includes a class information letter with guidelines and point deadlines, as well as an updated reading list. |

Student expectations for classroom behavior are clearly outlined in the student planner on pages 6 and 7. In addition, please see the student's notebook for "Guidelines and Expectations for English Class." Each student is required to have an organized English notebook and class materials in class each day. Following an absence, students are to consult the "Make Up Work" book to determine which assignments and tests need to be completed.
